This movie achieved its purpose, kept me entertained for the duration which is pretty much what I basically from titles such as this one.
It lost a star due to some of the predictable parts of the plot but all in all I felt the representation of ethnic minorities and people of color in areas such as this was well presented
As long as you take this movie for what it is, you won't be dissapointed.
Serviceably entertaining little movie, but it's very lightweight, from the lack of character depth to the tame vampire violence (this is clearly targeting teens. There are worse ways to spend an hour and a half, but if you're looking for the next Attack the Block, this comes up a bit short.
If you take "Attack the block" and move it to Bronx and exchange Aliens for Vampires you have this movie.
It has an amateurish feel but it's a alright movie. The boys do a good job and it's something you can watch with your kids. It doesn't feel like a film as much as a tv show.
